Supporting OMV operation in Kazakhstan with water-pipeline monitoring

IMBU has supported one of OMV’s operations in Kazakhstan called Kom-Munai LLP (operating the Komsomolskoe oilfield) with monitoring of a water-pipeline after they suffered from significant leakages. This included the installation of a volume measurement set-up in a very remote location where data is offloaded through satellite (inmarsat) and power is generated by a combination of solar and wind energy.

On a continuous basis, what goes into the pipeline is compared with what exits the pipeline. If the delta increases above a certain threshold an alarm is triggered.
