As we become more cognizant of the impact of mining operations on air quality and therefore on human health, protection agencies have passed regulations imposing compliance with occupational H&S standards in operator cabins. CabGuard is an engineered solution designed to increase the safety of mining operators working in polluted environments. Once CabGuard is installed in a cabin, it continually measures and reports the Air Quality Index (AQI) and alerts operators when particular pollutants exceed the acceptable pre-agreed threshold values.

Ensure Safety & Meet Regulatory Compliance and Standards

One way to ensure that mining operations are within compliance and that mining practices are not having an effect on the mining operators, is to continuously monitor the aerosols emitting from the mines. Real-time data from the CabGuard can be used to demonstrate compliance with and/or progress toward meeting ambient air quality standards and to identify pollution trends. Internal memory back-up can be used for storing air quality measurements for future analysis and checks.

Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) & Particulate Matter (PM)

Mining and construction operations can generate Particulate Matter (PM)  through the internal combustion machinery being used on-site. Another hazardous compounds – Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are emitted as gases from benzine & other liquids. Both of these compounds can be very harmful for human`s health. CabGuard ensures the safety of your operations by combining SPS30 & CO2 sensors with intelligent detection algorithms to monitor VOC variations & PM in confined spaces.

Advanced Particle Monitoring

CabGuard uses a breakthrough approach for detecting and measuring the quantity and size of particles suspended in air. Once the device is powered on, the device intakes air samples at a predefined frequency through the sampling system. The sensor uses laser scattering principle and coupled with other high quality components – enables precise fine dust measurement (PM2.5, PM10, etc) from its first operation and throughout its lifetime.
